Big news: Dance Teacher Insider is now “The Shuffle.”

Same mission. Same commitment to reigniting teachers and building confident dancers. But a bigger vision. Here's why:

For the past year, I've been teaching dance teachers how to build confidence in their studios. But confidence isn't just a dance problem. It's a human problem. Teachers need it. Leaders need it. Parents need it. Dancers absolutely need it.

So I’m expanding! The Shuffle is now home for anyone who wants to build unshakeable confidence. Whether you're stepping on stage, running a studio, leading a team, or raising a confident kid.

You're still getting the same weekly strategies you love. But now, you'll also get tools that apply to life BEYOND the studio.

Now, let's talk about what happened Sunday night at the Super Bowl...

What Bad Bunny's Halftime Moment Teaches Us About Confidence

…because on Sunday night at the Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny delivered a performance that was historic in two ways.

First, he became the first solo Latino artist to headline the halftime stage, and he did it almost entirely in Spanish! That in itself is a statement of culture, language, and identity right there in front of millions.

Near the end of the show, he paused the party and did something unforgettable:

He hands one of his Grammy awards to a young boy who was in the set. A symbolic gesture showing what it looks like when someone’s dream becomes REAL. (Learn about the whole show on Wikipedia)

That moment wasn’t random. It was intentional. It said:

Believe in what you love before the world validates you. Here’s what that teaches us:

1. Confidence means holding your identity publicly.

Bad Bunny didn’t switch languages. He didn’t minimize his culture so more people would feel comfortable. He stood proudly in what he represents. That’s the kind of confidence your dancers need on AND off the floor.

2. Confidence means claiming stage time without apology.

His decision to bullseye Latin culture at the biggest North American entertainment moment of the year was bold. It wasn’t about proving someone wrong, it was about proving something to himself and the next generation.

3. Confidence means offering inspiration, not insecurity.

That young boy receiving the award wasn’t just a cute moment. It was a message that “your dreams matter, and you deserve space in the spotlight.” When you equip your dancers with confidence, you’re giving THEM permission to step into their spotlight, too.

That’s the ripple effect I’m all about highlighting at The Shuffle.

ABOUT THE SHUFFLE

Welcome to The Shuffle, where performers, teachers, leaders, and parents come to build unshakeable confidence. You're here because you care about more than just showing up; you care about showing up well.

I started this newsletter with one mission: to teach confidence like a skill. Because when people believe they can do hard things, everything changes. Their performance improves. Their leadership deepens. Their impact grows. Together, we're creating a ripple effect of confidence that extends far beyond the stage, the classroom, and the boardroom.

So if this fires you up, don't keep it to yourself. Forward these emails to someone who needs to hear it. Let's remind people everywhere that confidence isn't something you're born with, it's something you build. One hard thing at a time.
